You got your slick new WordPress site ready to go, plugins and theme picked out (Dang page.ly was fast). Now you just want to customize the theme and make it awesome’r. Or maybe you just want to install and customize a Premium theme you picked up from one of the many quality outfits out there.
Now you may be feeling stuck. FTP what where? What are all these funny < tag /> things. I just want to change the header graphic.
Where do you find information or help doing these extra’s?
You have 2 options really:
- Learn how to do it yourself with “trial by Google”. Click around the search results, read a few forum entries. Apply what you learned, and viola!.. oh wait.
- Hire a professional to help. Not a bad idea depending on what your time is worth.
We here at page.ly recommend you do and try both options. Getting at least a basic understanding how some of the inner workings of your WordPress website are a must to keep you from feeling helpess and your site humming along. Even though page.ly does much of the hard stuff for you (Backups, Core Upgrades, Setup, etc) the day to day tweaks and customizations you may need fall on your shoulders to take care of.
