Say “SEO Leader” and who comes to mind? SEOmoz to most people. Rand Fishkin and the team at SEOmoz have just released some pretty sweet upgrades to their PRO Membership.
The brand spanking new Campaign-Based Web App which in their words “revolutionizes the management of SEO with automated crawl diagnostics, on-page optimization and keyword rank tracking” looks like it aims to offer a complete solution to for SEO monitoring and optimization on a per keyword/campaign/website basis.
The folks at SEOmoz clued us into this a few weeks back and asked us to keep hush hush. Their app is live now and they are offering a $20/mo savings on their membership until September 3rd.
They have also updated their website with a new look and more content in their Learn SEO section. <- Great place to learn about SEO for your WordPress powered website.
My only sticky spot of this new offering is that they chose to develop their own ranking tool rather than integrate a great existing service like AuthorityLabs who has been offering a very robust rank checking service for over 2 years now. AuthorityLabs is a Gangplank company (same place page.ly is HQ’d) and the founder is a personal friend so of course we have to represent ;). I met Rand last year in PHX and I know he had his own reasons for rolling his own tool.. so no hard feelings of course. Would have been rad to see these two great services work together. Collaboration FTW
That being said… This new service from SEOmoz looks pretty killer for those wishing to learn about SEO and those actively managing SEO campaigns on a daily basis. Kudos to Rand and his team on a solid new product. Now if only they would make it into WordPress plugin…
