Like any project the last 5% takes the longest. In this case it was the last .5%.
We hit some roadblocks in the 11th hour when we began rolling sites over to the new pagely3.0 system that stopped us dead for about 2 weeks. We worked closely with Firehost and made a few changes and were able to get past them.
So I am happy to announce we have begun rolling over sites to page.ly3.0 for reals now. Over the next week to 10days we expect to have all sites moved. There will be some changes for users, most notably more speed. But also our FTP system is changing. Users will be notified separately regarding the new sFTP logins.
As a speed comparison between the 2 systems have a look at this. Page.ly 3 requests happen in about 1/4 the time. In the example below: 49 milliseconds vs 224 milliseconds. That is one hell of an improvement.

Having correct caching headers and processing them correctly on the server side can definitely make a huge difference.
That among other things. Will do a post soon describing the new architecture.
