PodcampAZ | November 12-13 | Tempe, AZ

We know user-generated content isn’t going away anytime soon. From blogging to podcasting and tweeting to YouTubing, the plethora of relevant (digital) media can be daunting. While there may be plenty social media experts, gurus or shamans willing to teach the basics for a little cash, those aren’t your only options.

PodcampAZ, now in its fifth year, started as a place to learn about podcasting. As new media evolved and became accessible to normal folk, PodcampAZ morphed into a relevant media catch-all event where experts can teach n00bs, interaction goes beyond an avatar or profile photo and anyone can share ideas that may just spark something really cool.

PodcampAZThis year’s lineup includes local TV anchor Carey Pena, founder of Podiobooks.com Evo Terra, the one-kidneyed Amy Donohue and a host of local marketers, writers, SEO guys/gals and teachers looking to share what they know. They will be WordPress-specific panels on both days for anyone with more specific questions.

While neither Josh or Sally are able to attend this year (ask them about their new addition), Pagely is well represented. Besides providing the hosting for the PodcampAZ.org site, more than a couple presenters make their living with Pagely. Greg Taylor, presenting on Sunday, runs a WordPress design and content service on Pagely, and is among a host of bloggers, writers, marketers and curious folk certain to be roaming the halls in search of answers, cool products and people to share ideas with.

Pagely was born in the collaborative workspace Gangplank, and events like this are great opportunities to meet some of the movers and shakers in the digital media world here in AZ. And it’s free. And there will be prizes.

If you’re still confused as to what ‘managed WordPress hosting‘ is, or simply wants to learn more about relevant media from people in the trenches, PodcampAZ is your chance.
